Nagoya-The head of a Japanese minor opposition party viewed as having extremist views apologized on Sunday for referencing a hypothetical storyline in which women have their uteruses removed after 30 as a way to deal with the country's falling birthrate.
In his YouTube channel program streamed Friday themed on declining birthrate, Naoki Hyakuta, novelist and leader of the Conservative Party of Japan, said there is a hypothetical idea, which he personally does not support, of women "having their uteruses removed when they are over 30."
Can they even grasp the meaning of his so-called 'apology'? Outside Japan, he wouldn’t be seen as a typical 'right-wing' politician—he’d be dismissed as a rambling eccentric. People elsewhere wouldn’t see how 'uterus removal' could possibly connect to addressing a low birth rate.
And those he defamed and belittled were not only Japanese women but also Thai women with his 'prostitutes' comment from last year.
◽️ An outrageous remark by a Japanese politician on Thai Women.
He (Hyakuta) said,
"One in Several Women Bangkok is a Pro〇〇itute"
This is an obvious lie and a discriminatory remark. Last year, a working group from the UN Human Rights Office visited Japan to investigate the country’s situation regarding "business and human rights." It appears that Naoki Hyakuta, leader of Japan’s Conservative Party, was displeased that one of the investigators was Thai. He seemed to imply that a country like Thailand—allegedly rife with women engaged in prostitution—had no right to criticize Japan.
His ”prostitute comment" is around 01:10 in Japanese.
What a disgrace for Japan and Japanese people!
